All emotions are on the table for doing a standup bit. Pryor brings you into these emotions that are usually in dramas, in movies that make you cry. You’re getting choked up when his monkeys die and then he’s able to immediately bring it back. This guy was using the whole thing. There’s a before him and after him. He’s that level of an artist. The whole thing got changed.

Interviewer: Can women be funny?
Burr: Yeah, of course. Become undeniable. When was the last time you went on stage and you killed so hard the person after you bombed? If you're fucking doing that on a regular basis, people are gonna notice, regardless of what you have between your legs.
